Default DTS Package fails in cluster - 03-24-2005 , 08:56 AM

Enterprise 8.00.818

DTS package on an Active/Passive cluster with a transform data task
that loads data from some Excel spreadsheets.

The package works fine when one node of the cluster is active but
consistently fails on the transformation task (see error below) if we
failover onto the other node. The other elements of the package
(connections, ActiveX and Exec SQL tasks) work OK in both cases.

Error logged in sysdtssteplog:
Step Error Source: Microsoft JET Database Engine
Step Error Description:Unspecified error
Step Error code: 80004005
Step Error Help File:
Step Error Help Context ID:5000000

Both nodes see the source data files and we've verified that the Jet
DLL is identical in each case.

Anything else I should check?

I had the same problem once
make sure you have excel on both clusters

Thanks but we don't have Excel on either machine. We're just using the
ODBC driver.
