Where can I find some good docs/examples of using a dts package to
export data to an excel file, then move the data to another table with a
completed column updated in the same db. Thanks for the info.

There are no really complete samples that you can just download like this but at www.SQLDTS.com we try to give you enough
information to build the solution yourself.

We have examples of creating packages in designer and these should set you on your way
