Default dts network traffic - 05-08-2004 , 08:26 AM






Hi I have used dts from my pc from a location in london to
copy data using dts from a sql server in America to a sql
server in Scotland the data is about 50mb will this cause
any traffic on my London link if so would you know roughly
how much. Each office has its own link to each location

Yes

You are copying data from the US to Scotland using a package which you
execute on a PC in London

The traffic will look like this

US ------> London ---------> Scotland

If you fire a job on the US Server that calls the DTS package from the US
Server then it will look like

US ---------> Scotland
