Default DTS Logging - 05-16-2005 , 11:49 PM

Hi,

I have checked the Source Error rows, Destination rows and Error
checkboxes for the options of the data pump. However, on completion I
only receive the error file. The file contains the following info...

Error Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Error Description:Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors.
Check each OLE DB status value, if available. No work was done.
Error Help File:
Error Help Context ID:0
@@SourceRow: Logging Failed

Error code: 80004005

@@DestRow: Logging Failed

Error code: 80004005

TIA

Yeah, annoying isn't it? One of the reasons this can happen is lack of
disk space. Is that an issue here? I presume you have checked for
permissions and that the logging directory exists?

Thanx heaps for ur help Allan.

With the permissions, does the fact that I get one file out of 3
confirm that the permissions have been provided. Pardon my ignorance
(or lack of knowledge) but which user should i be checking the
permissions for?

Thanx again....

Hi Allan,

Im getting source error files for one of the data pumps but not the
other. The upload is from txt files to SQL. The disk space available is
around 15GB. The fact that the source files for one of the data pumps
is being produced guarantess adequate permission. Is there anyting else
I shud b checking 4???

Thanx
