Default DTS local server period/dot notation - 11-13-2006 , 10:55 AM

Hi,
I am running SQL Server 2000 SP4 clustered on Windows 2003 SP1.
After a maintenance reboot of the cluster this past weekend suddenly
the dot/period notation (referring to the local machine) in all of
the Connections in my DTS pkgs. are not able to connect to the local
server. I have checked the enabled protocols in the SQL Server Network
Utility and have also ran the MDAC Component Checker and it revealed no
issues. I am able to connect if I refer to the virtual cluster name.
I have googled this only to find that people have solved this with a
reboot, which I am trying to avoid.

Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks,
Rick
