Also, is there a way to commit the transaction every
100,000 records during the dts process? Any help is

It sounds like you are looking for the Transform Data Task.
You can find information on this task and using batches in
books online under Transform Data Task.
On the Advanced tab of the Transform Data Task is where you
set the insert batch size.
