Our server has 2 nic cards, external ip addressing and internal ip
addressing. I have a couple of DTS Packages that are acting a little
strange. The jobs run fine when started manually from the EM Local
Packages. These same jobs fail to run when scheduled ( or run manually )
from the EM Sql Server Agent - Jobs. Here's the kicker, these same jobs
were running fine from both places until our isp's hardware went down and we
lost all outside access. When the isp came back up, these jobs started
running fine again. While the hardware was down, I could run the packages
manually with no problem.

As I understand from other postings in the sqlserver.security newsgroup, sql
server listens to all ip addresses and this is not configurable.

The jobs are pretty simple in that all they do is delete the contents of a
table and run and TSQL to repopulate them from other tables. So, any ideas
on where I start to investigate to keep these jobs from being affected by
'stray' outages?
