Default dts integrity question - 06-07-2005 , 08:06 AM

I have created a custom dts package that transfers about 80 tables to
another db with different column names table name etc

My question is I went through the EM export dts wizard and saved the
package - but now when I transfer the data it gives me integrity violations
as the steps dont follow the correct order. Now I know I can set
precendents but this will take me forever. Is there anyway that dts can
figure which transform data tasks should go first in order to keep
integrity?

Thanks
Rob

There is no way DTS can do this.

Maybe you can have a pre step that drops all constraints first and reapplies
them afterwards? This would mean you eith do some serious scrubbing in your
package to ensure integrity or you know your source data is clean.
