Default DTS Installation Problem - 12-15-2003 , 10:33 AM

I'm installing the dts runtime files on a client machine. When I try to
register the dtspkg.dll I get an error message that the specified procedure
could not be found. I've done it a several times on different machines
without any problems. They are all running WinXP Pro. Anybody else run
into this problem.

Thanks,
Dennis

Have you copied all of the files required to the correct locations as
documented in redist.txt? Here is what I hope is better explanation of
the files required and where they should go-

Redistributing DTS with your program

Yes I did ....I was able to sucessfully install on several other machines so
know that was'nt the problem. I was eventually able to register the file.
I had to use the full path:

regsvr32 C:\xxxx\xxxx\dtspkg.dll

I had put it in a batch file and it ran successfully on several other
machines. for some reason this machine wanted the full path. and none of
the other files like dtsffile.dll or dtspump.dll needed it.

Oh well...I got it working on my last client machine.
