Hello - My apologies if this has been posted on before, but in my searching around this evening I was unable to find anything even closely related. I am attempting to import an excel 97/2000 .xls file into a SQL database that has 1 particular field in the table of the DB that is not nullable. I have verified that these cells (which are going to be going into this nullable field) are in fact populated with data, but upon attempting to run my import - it errors out (claiming that there are nulls in those cells/fields). Upon further inspection I did find that the preview has revealed of the top 100 entries - some of those cells are in fact not showing the data that is in them. I've tried going into the Excel file and resetting the format of the cells from "General" to "Text" and back again - but for whatever resaon - these same fields still show up blank in the preview of the DTS package (and thus stalls the import). Is this an Excel problem? I have not tried a .CSV or other format of text yet (and would prefer not to if possible). Thanks in advance for any help you could shed on this problem. |
