Default DTS import error "not a valid account name or password" - 03-24-2005 , 04:25 PM

Hi,

I'm trying to import an ms access database into SQL server using DTS. I
have read all the postings and tried all the suggestions and I keep
getting errors.
I'm getting:
"not a valid account name or password"
"error during initialization of provider"

Here's how I tried importing this:
1) select ms access as the driver
2) set the user and password in the prompt boxes to the database
password
3) selected my .mdb file
4) clicked on 'advanced' and set the path of 'system.mdw'
5) clicked 'next' and I get the error.
The server that I'm doing this on does not have ms access installed on
it -- so I just copied my local copy of system.mdw to the
c:\windows\system32\ directory on the server -- I don't know if this is
my problem or not.

I have also tried setting up a file dsn and using that when importing,
but get a different error.

any help is very much welcome! thanks in advance! I appreciate it!

I figured it out! I had 2 versions of access running and I copied the
wrong system.mdw file. After I copied the right file it worked.
(I also had to blank out the user and password prompt and ONLY enter
the password in under the 'advanced' button Jet engine settings (in the
dts import screen).
