Default DTS Import DB2 to SQL 2000 - 09-20-2006 , 04:49 PM

Hi, I'm trying to import data from DB2 to SQL 2000. The import works
great, however, when I try to edit the 'Transform Data Task' on the
workflow display, my Enterprise Manager just hangs. This only happens
when trying to modify a task that imports from DB2. Does anyone have
any ideas?

Haven't had that before but have seen "unstable behavior" between DTS and DB2
(on the mainframe at least). These are just wild swags but you could check
with your DB2 DBA that there are current RUNSTATS on the DB2 catalog. Also if
DB2 is on the mainframe you may be using DB2 Connect under the covers...if so
I would check which version you are running to ensure it's current because
I've seen changes in behavior with DTS/DB2 based upon the version of DB2
Connect being run. Good luck.
