Hi all, I have some DTS packages that are used to import /export data to a
SQL box located outside in a DMZ behind a firewall.
We need to open up a port in the firewall so that the Internal Server can
communicate (Execute DTS packages against) with the SQL box located outside
the DMZ.
How do I find out what Port we need to open so that the Internal SQL box can
communicate with the external SQL box?
Thanks in advance

By default SQL Server uses port 1433. The port is set during setup, or
can be changed and reviewed through the SQL Server Network Utility
found in the SQL Start menu, Programs menu group.
This may be different if you have a named instance, or you have changed
it yourself, but otherwise it is always 1433.
