Default DTS Execute Process Task Return code changing - 10-25-2004 , 06:13 PM

Hello, Quick question. I have a dts package that has a
Execute Process Task step in the workflow that call a
batch job (win32 process). Sometimes this step completes
successfully and sometimes it does not. The return code
is set to the default value of 0. When it fails, the
error message says that the return code is 2. This step
is set to begin after completion of the previous step.
The batch job simply encrypts files created in the
previous step. The only thing I can figure is that the
batch process is trying to start before the files in the
previous step have been created. Any ideas? Thanks, Troy

Troy,

In the batch file itself use redirection to log activities and errors
occurring during its execution.
