Default DTS Excel to Oracle: Buffer Overflow - 06-08-2004 , 10:38 AM

Hello There,

I am getting the an error trying migrate data from Excel to Oracle 9i using DTS:

Error Msg: "Data for source column 50 ('GENERAL_CO') is too large for the specified buffer size"

Its breaking at the first row in the column 'GENERAL_CO' where the data is more than 255 characters in length.

I tried modifying the registry : "TypeGuessRows" in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Jet\4.0\Engi nes\Excel

from the default value('8') to '0' and '16' but still I am getting the same Error !!.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
