Hello I created a DTS Package in my machine it runs fine on my machine
(local). bt when i set up a job (to run on server) i get an error message.
also when i try to open the dts package on the server i also get an error.
if i open the package and try to click on the transfrom data task between a
sql server and sybase i get this error. any ideas?

The error is -2147467259.

I get this error only when i try to create a sybase odbc connection. I
tested a oracle odbc works fine, sql server connection works fine...etc.

Yes I have sybase installed....
and yes i can see the server.

Sybase Server. What about the DSN with which you are connecting to the Sybase
Server. I presume this is specified in the package so do you have one of
the exact same name on the SQL Server?

correct.

FYI.

Even if i try to create a brand new package on the sql server i can add any
data connection except for syabase. I only get this error when i try to add
or open an existing sybase data connection.

When you say it fails, is that as a job and manually on the server?. If
yes then what is the accompanying text to the error msg? If the exact same
thing works everywhere else then it sounds as thought the drivers may have
been stomped upon.
