Default DTS Designer Error; Missing Task Controls - 02-02-2004 , 09:03 AM

Upon opening the DTS Designer, I get a missing file error
and all the DTS task controls are gone. Apparently, this
is not an uncommon problem, as I've seen several
references to it in the newsgroup discussions. Have
tried all the recommended fixes--

Installing the latest patches (3a)
Unregistering and registering .dlls
Uninstalling and reinstalling SQL Server
Etc.

but still no remedy. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks much.

Greg

Short of reinstalling MDAC I think you have pretty much covered everything.

Thanks Allan.

I have recently installed and reinstalled MDAC 1.8. I'm
at a loss at this point. Thinking about calling
Microsoft.
