Default DTS Data Transform Problem - 10-22-2004 , 04:23 AM

Hello,

I try to import data from a stored procedure on another server. I can
execute de SP and get results but when I try to make it work in a Data
Pump task, the wizard seem to be unable to guess the sources columns
and so I can't define the relations. It's very odd because I can
import data from other SP this way w/o any problems. Is that because
the resultset from the sp is a temp table? Is there another way to
make it work ? Please help :-)

Regards!

Hi ,
Why can't you do this task using bulk copy facility which is provided
in MS SQL Server 2000

Hello and thanks for your input!

My task is to import data from a server I don't have access to, other
than via a set of stored procedures. The 2 servers are not linked and
the stored procedure is not the perfect image of another table. Plus I
have to run my DTS batch daily because I'm to provide some sort od
data warehousing. What bugs me is that I can access flawlessly to
other SPs on the same server and I'm clueless to why this one in
particular doesn't work.

Regards!
