hi there, I have the following problem: -I have a table on an as400 (ibm). -This table is linked into MS-Access (for Data-conversion issues) -this link is source to an DTS-Package when using access, everything is fine, but when I start the DTS-Package, the user and password for the as400 are needed. Since this Package is supposed to be started from a batchjob. Within dts a user and password are set (these are the ones for accessing access), and within the dts-run I supply the user an password for the sqlserver. Is there anybody out there who can help me? Since this whole stuff was written by a co-worker who no longer works for us, I have almost no chance of changing the process. thanks Tobias |

I don't have direct experience, but there seem to several issues with the AS400 provider and credentials not being stored as you may expect (just search Google Groups), as opposed to it being DTS specifically. Perhaps if you break it down and try to focus on the provider it may help. -- Darren Green http://www.sqldts.com http://www.sqlis.com "Tobias Heinrich" <tobias.heinrich.ohnedieshier (AT) bowi (DOT) de> wrote in message news:cusi4a$n1j$1 (AT) nntp (DOT) ilk.net... hi there, I have the following problem: -I have a table on an as400 (ibm). -This table is linked into MS-Access (for Data-conversion issues) -this link is source to an DTS-Package when using access, everything is fine, but when I start the DTS-Package, the user and password for the as400 are needed.
