Default DTEXEC utility in SQL Server 2005 Express Edition? - 01-15-2009 , 11:45 AM

Is DTEXEC included in SQL Server 2005 Express Edition?
If no, is it possible to put on a server only the dtexec.exe file in order
to execute a dtsx?
Thanks

Yes, I believe DTExec and DTExecUI are both included in SQL Server 2005
Express. But you may need to get the one with 'advanced services'. It is free
as well.

You will have to check Books On Line for detailed documentation. Also,
Microsoft web site might help you with feature comparison between full-blown
SQL Server and Express editions.

Ok.
Is it enough an only license to put the engine of a standard (or superior)
edition onto a database server and the workstation components (with dtexex)
onto another server?
Thanks
