Default disable dts errors in VB - 06-28-2005 , 01:03 PM

I'm importing a text file into SQL table using DTS. The file(s)
sometimes have formatting anomalies that are benign to me but DTS sees
them and throws an error - and doesn't store anything into the DB. The
file is comma-delimited and there are no errors in that area. The
error appears when there are quoted name strings with embedded quotes
for nicknames. This is not a data error for me but seems to bother DTS
(or the db??). I'd like to just disable the error and have the data
stored 'as is'. Can I do this? If so, how?

Hello,

I have tested the issue on my side. I can export and import the following
table successfully:

ColA

'as is'
'but'
'as is'
'but'
"a"
"a"

Therefore I am able to reproduce the issue on my side.

To troubleshoot the isseu, I suggest that you perform the following steps
or collect information:

1. Create above table in a new database.
2. Export and import the data in the table using DTS to test.
3. If you receive any error message, post here the exact error message you
receive.
4. Post here the table to reproduce your issue, including the column data
type, some sample data.

I'll check it on my side.
