Can I get high confidence that DTS packages (Saved as a *.DTS File) using SQL Server Enterprise Manager 2000 (Based Version 8.00.194) on Windows XP Service Pack 1 would run using SQL Server DTSRun.exe (Based Version 8.00.194) on Windows 2000 Server SP3, if I can confirm that the DTS packages worked O on DTSRUN.exe (Based version 8.00.194) on the same Windows XP Professional SP1 workstation? Furthermore, if the DTSClients are upgraded later to SP2 or SP3, would there be much issues? Am I also right in thinking that the DTSRun.exe version can be of a different (lower) version from the SQL Server 2000 database to which the DTS packages will access and update? |
