Hello all, I created a *.DTS file the other day that I had several DTS packages stored in. In creating new packages, I realized that the first package was obsolete and would never be used. It doesn't appear that an individual package can be deleted from a DTS file storing multiple packages. Can this be done? I ended up creating a new DTS file, stored the packages that I wanted to keep in the new file, and then deleted the old file. This was kind of annoying and I had to do it a second time. One would think that individual packages can be deleted. Any help will be greatly appreciated, Conan Kelly |

Hello Conan Kelly" CTBarbarin at msn dot com, You could simply have loaded the package into designer. Deleted the underlying file and then hit the save button. same effect. Allan Mitchell, Thanks for the info, but what if there are some packages in that underlying file that I want to keep and one or two that I want to get rid of. Your method won't work too well unless I load all of the packages into the designer, delete the file, and then re save each package to the new file. Thanks again for your help, Conan "Allan Mitchell" <allan (AT) no-spam (DOT) sqldts.com> wrote in message news:f0343b03156ec8c7fbe2c846c8e0 (AT) msnews (DOT) microsoft.com...
