I have 151 coulmns in the SQL Statement (total size of all fields comes to
2000 characters). Is there any limit on how many columns one can export to a
text file as I don't see any columns under "Destination" Tab of a "Transform
Data Task Properties" dialog box which otherwise I see when I have lees
number of columns.

It sounds like you are running ing a bug with one of th DTS components in
service pack 3. You can download MS03-031 from the following site and apply
it and the corrected file will be installed:
