Default CSV File application error - 08-25-2005 , 03:25 AM

I'm using a SQL 2000 SP3 client on XP against a SQL 7 database. I'm trying to
output a table to a CSV using a SQL Connection to a Destination Text File.

Any table in my database that has records longer than a certain length will
not allow me to execute the columns to create a new text file - nothing
happens when I click "Execute" - no columns are created.

I can see the data OK If I click the "Preview" button. If I try to add the
columns manually using "Define Columns" I get an application error "The
Memory Could Not Be Written" and the application closes. Tables with shorter
record lengths work OK. Is this something to do with SQL 7 and is there a get
round? I can't upgrade to SP4 as I'm on a client's PC. Any suggestions
gratefully received.

Thanks,

This is more than likely the problemwe saw introduced with SP3 for DTS 2000.

Have a look here

Allan,

Thank you very much. This indeed fixed the problem. Rather than go to SP4, I
just installed the 3a Security Hotfix described in the article and it worked
OK.

Cheers,

Andrew
