When I attempted to create "Send Mail Task" in DTS, it pops up a package
error dialog:

Error Source: Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package.
Error Description: Initialization of MAPI failed. Please make sure that you
have messaging services installed on this system.

Any ideas??

You should start with checking your SQL Mail configuration.
