Default copying a job - 02-03-2004 , 01:44 PM






Hello,
I need to make a copy of a dts job to modify. I
don't have the package existing, where i could go and
create the job.
I have the job though but there is no option to do save as
or copy an save. how do i make a copy.

Help!!

Make a copy of a job?

Script it out and change the bits you need to change

Right Click the job | All tasks | Generate SQL Script

Thanks for the reply on make a copy of a job.

I could generate sql script from an existing job that i
want to copy. but how do i save the sql script(change it)
to a job.

Save it to a file and use osql.(or play it back in QA.)
