How do I clear from Extended Properties the connections previously deleted? In a DTS with some SQL connections, if after saved you erase one of them is just erased from the design sheet but it remains in the DTS' Extended Properties. SQL Server 2000 Standard Ed SP 4.0, Win200 SP 5.0 Thanks a lot! |

Add a connection to the package, make it a copy of the one you want to remove. Now remove the connection you just added. Work? Hi Allan, Thanks for reply. I've tried deleting all visible connections in the design sheet, saving the package as a structured file, even as a VB file and then import to SQL Server again, but always remain a connection in the Extended Properties. Only if I use the menu option "Cleat design sheet" whole connections are erased, but obviously this isn't an option. gerardgat. I have a package with some connections deleted previously but they actually appear in the DTS' Extend Properties, so adding a new connection to the same source, coping it and then deleting it doesn't fix the problem. Furthermore when I add a connection with the same name as the deleted one, the message 'Error adding connection to package. Make sure that the conn name is valid and unique' come out as if the conn erased was active in the Design Sheet. If you like I can send to you the structured file saved from the DTS to view the problem I describe. Thanks again. "Allan Mitchell" wrote: But did you try what I said? |
