Default Change DTS Query and getting SQL Server doesn't exist or access de - 12-09-2004 , 11:21 AM

Hi, I'm trying to update a query of the transform data task of a DTS
package(I've never worked with this DTS package before). I'm just trying to
change the table names, but I keep getting the following error:

[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen ((Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access
denied.

I'm new to this company, so I'm not sure what's going on. Please help!!!

Thanks,
Jeff

And what code are you using to do this?
How are you doing this?
Does the server exist?

I am connecting directly to the server with Enterprise manager (using
connectivity tools) and using the DTS GUI provided. I open the package,
double click on the transform data task arrow, and click on the "Build Query"
button. In the next screen, I change the field names and add the
corresponding table. Click verify SQL, and receive a postive confirmation.
Click OK out of the build query screen, then Click OK to close thhe
"Transform Data Task Properties" at which point the aforementioned error is
thrown.

Let me know if you need more. Thanks!

I just realized that anytime I open the Transform Data Task Properties box
and click OK (whether I made any changes or not) it throws that error.
Weird..
