Default Cannot edit or delete my DTS packages - 04-21-2006 , 04:45 PM

I created 2 DTS packages on SQL Server 2000 that I need to either edit or
just delete outright. However, when I try to do either one, I get an error
saying that "only the owner" of the DTS package can edit or delete it.
Well, as the OWNER I'm just a little miffed my own packages don't recognize
me! Heck, one edit attempt was foiled immediately after I created the
thing! How could Enterprise Manager get the idea I wasn't me in the same
session? Is it delusional?

Help!

I saw that but it didn't seem relevant because I am the creator/owner of the
packages.

I'm still not sure what's wrong, but I have a resolution. It turns out the
wizard was saving the packages to the source server when I really wanted
them on the destination server (guess I overlooked a save location option)
where I have 100% control. So I recreated them and sent an email to the dba
of the source db to just delete the original packages. The new ones I
created aren't giving me any problems (yet).

Now the only problem is that my scheduling times aren't being saved (they
revert right back to 12:00 am). I'll post on that later if I can't resolve
it.

Thanks!

Randall
