Default cannot create new ssis project - 08-29-2006 , 05:41 AM

With SS eval (enterprise edition) I cannot see the template for SSIS projects
(only the one for Reporting Services) - can anyone help?

The report for setup says the SSIS service is correctly installed and the
service is running...

I'm sure this is a stupid question but, did VS2005 install with your eval
version? Without VS 2005 you may have the service running but no interface to
create or build projects.

I un- and re-installed the SQL 2005 eval and now it works ok (I can now also
see the Analysis Services template as well) - so presumably it was either the
order of installing previously (Express and then 2005 EVAL) or because I took
the option to try and install the extras to the D: drive instead of the
default C: drive?

Is there a better solution to this? I haven't delved too deeply into
the fix quite yet but installing Vis Studio 2005 (C# etc) after
installing sql 2005 seemed to wreck all the templates.

When I get around to solving it I'll post a solution unless any one
already has one.

Thanks,

Lowvato
