Hello,
I've just started researching SSIS and I can't seem to find anywhere
that explains if you have to have SQL 2005 installed in order to run
SSIS. We have a SQL 2000 environment and we will eventually upgrade,
but in the mean time, I'd like to start to use SSIS if I can.

Thanks in advance.

Installing "SQL 2005" is a case of selecting one or more of the components
that come on the CD. You can install just the SSIS tools (Workstation tools)
and the SSIS service on a machine, even with SQL 2000 there. You can install
the SQL 2005 engine (instance) alongside a SQL 2000 instance as well. You
can install AS 2005, without either of the above. You have some options, but
test whatever you want to do first!

Cheers
