Default Can SQL Server import with errors? - 10-12-2005 , 01:08 PM

Is there a way for SQL Server to complete or continue an import even
though a row or two may have wrong/invalid data? With MS Access it
would just put the violating row in a separate table but still import
the main one. With SQL Server 2000 (Pro), if one row is invalid it
cancels the operation. With a large import DB and no access to the
originating DB application, going in an fixing the row is not possible.

Thanks,
Ken

Have a look on the last tab of the DataPump task. It will allow you
there to specify the number of errors with which you can live and also
allow you to specify a file to which you can log the error details.

Thanks for your help! Where is the DataPump task? If I select import
from a number of places it just sets off the DTS Import/Export wizard
and I dont ever see this option or any tabs where i could make this
change.

Thanks!
