Default Can DTS receive emails? - 01-11-2005 , 06:01 AM

Scenario: client wishes to create a utility email account at his company
(utility (AT) blah (DOT) com) and have flatfiles (typically sent as zip email
attachments) emailed directly to it. He wishes to have some form of
automation set up to where the flatfile is received by the utility email,
automatically extracted, and directly imported into sqlserver.

DTS is of course able to send emails, but does anyone know if it's
possible to *receive* emails? Or is what I described above beyond
the scope of DTS's power?

TIA

Hmmm. I recognize you Allan as one of the resident gurus... you wouldn't
happen to have any links handy would you? Or is this relatively
uncharted/unused territory?

Thanks Melih!
Thanks Allan!
