Default Blank DTS designer - 11-20-2003 , 12:36 PM

I am currently experiencing a weird phenomenom

When trying to open a dts package, I am getting a blank dts designer window. No task bar on the left, no menu on the top, no steps in the window

I know there is information in them, I've tried opening them all on all of the different servers we have...same behavoir

The only thing that I can think of that has changed was an install of .NET on my computer (the SQL Servers are on different Servers, not my PC)

We've verified that permissions haven't changed and I have always had access to them before

Any ideas on what might be happening. I'm stumped.

You have tried opening all packages from different servers but from your
machine ? In this case it is your machine that got whacked. Try
reregisterng the DTS dlls.

Redistributing DTS with your program
(http://www.sqldts.com/default.aspx?225)

You may need to reinstall MDAC as well.

The dtsui.dll is the one that contains the icons. You may be able to
resolve the problem by reregistering that particular dll. If not then Allan
is correct, reregistering all of them may resolve the problem.

Thanks guys...however...I'm still having the problem

I re-registered all of the dll files indicated on sqldts.com (as well as dtsui.dll) I also installed MDAC 2.8. No results

It still just shows a completely blank window when opening a dts package. (Others can open the dts packages, so it's something specific to my machine

Would a fresh install of SQL Server be worth shot or does anyone have any other ideas

Possibly. One last shot before the big push. Find msado15.dll and
reregister it. This file has fixed problems for me in the past. Long shot
though
