hope someone can help !

I have a web app that has been using SQL Transaction
services and everything was good.
then my SQL Server died and I had to replace.
Now I can not initiated a transaction via ASP.

Sounds like a simple setup/config issue, but I have never
had any trouble initiating transactional processing before.
Have setup sql many times, but now using unable to install
properly. Have tried both SQL 7 & SQL 2000

after running DTCtester tool, I have more info:
Error:
SQLSTATE=25S12,Native error=-2147168242,msg='[Microsoft]

Server Driver]Invalid cursor state

looks like I have different versions of MSDTC ??
