Default ActiveXScript Function Scope - 09-18-2003 , 12:15 PM

Hi,

Is there a way to Declare a Function so that a second
ActiveXScript object can read a function created in the
first ActiveXScript object?

Thanks!

Julie this CAN be done... I tried figuring it out from a presentation
that someone referenced me to but the presentation slideshows/demos
were not available in the archives and as such I couldn't get the jist of
how to do it. Anyone out there with a little more detail on this? It would
be a big help in what I'm doing too.

Here's the post I made and Darrens response...

Is there a way I can access a function within an ActiveX script in DTS from
anywhere within the package?

For instance... I would like to be able to call from within any activeX
script within the package to retrieve a value from a table in a database
based on the name of the row. Keeping 1 function would obviously be easier
than trying to maintain multiple copies of the code.

If someone can suggest a better way, I'm open to that too!

Thanks

If you are a PASS member then go and have a look at some of the past
presentations by Trey Johnson. He has done some nice demos for solving
this problem in several of his presentations.
