Default AcquireConnection error 0xC0202009 - Excel Source error 0xC020801C - 05-15-2006 , 09:26 AM

Hello,

SSIS 2005 EE x64, I created an Excel connection 97-2005 within the
connection manager and mapped it to an excel source. After the source is a
data conversion ending in an SQL Server destination. When I execute the data
flow in the BIDS I get the follwing error:

[Excel Source [431]] Error: The AcquireConnection method call to the
connection manager "Modell_Suffix_ZuO Internet" failed with error code
0xC0202009.

[DTS.Pipeline] Error: component "Excel Source" (431) failed validation and
returned error code 0xC020801C.

Any ideas?

Hello Michael,

There is no 64 bit Excel driver so you may need to "downgrade" BIDs

Have a look in the project properties (Right click on project in Solution
Explorer)

Now look in Debugging and look at the Run64BitRuntime property. Change this
to False

Do you know when this will be resolved? We got a pretty big project with a
few Excel imports, and having to have people open Excel and save as .csv is a
pain.
And going down to 32 bits is going to hurt the performance of the whole
project.
