I am running SQL server 2K on XPSP2 and VFP 6. I downloaded and installed the
vfp odbc driver available from:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxpro/do...c/default.aspx

This page lists the driver under vfp 7. I am using 6.

I am getting an error during the DTS import wizard which doesn't help me
much to
solve the problem. The error dialog reads:

Error Source: OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers
Error Descript: [microsoft][odbc visual foxpro driver]sourceDB
Context: errror during initialization of the provider.

I get the same error whether I try to connect to a folder with a DBC or a
folder with free tables.

If you know of a solution to my problem, I'd appreciate some help.

Disable Windows XP Firewall and try again.

You can try to access your vfp database from MS Excel. This allows you
to test the ODBC driver funcionality.

Hi Stewart,

Have you considered using the FoxPro and Visual FoxPro OLE DB data provider?
It's downloadable from the /downloads/updates page also, and it will work
for all versions of Fox tables.

Try that and then post back if you're still having trouble.
