what does this error mean?!?!?!?
I get this error when trying to create a file using dts.
when I run the step singularly, it runs fine. when I run the whole package,
it fails with "unexpected error from external database driver (9492)"
I need an MVP to find out what is causing this problem, as it is a real road
block for me.

What is "Create a File"? a text file? Are you by chance using dBase?

Which drivers are you using?
What is your source and destination types?
What SP of SQL Server are you using?
