Default 2005-DTS: Editing and running DTS Package - 06-08-2005 , 05:13 PM

Hello:

I just installed 2005 Beta 2 and I have been trying to understand DTS.

I was able to create a DTS package using the wizard and saving it. But the
task failed because of some data mis-match.

I am trying to find out how I can edit it and then run it? Can somebody
educate me on both the tasks?

Thanks.

Venki

OK

SSIS is it is now known is less forgiving over trying to force a datatype of
one type into another different type. To where did you save it.

Can you navigate to it?

Try searching for *.dtsx

SSIS packages are now edited in SQL Server Business Intelligence Development
Studio

When you do get there and run the package in the designer you will see what
is incompatible with what.

You will probably need the Data Conversion transform
