Default Utility to change Data Source of a cube? - 05-19-2004 , 03:58 PM

Does anyone have some sample DSO code to change the Data Source of a cube? I
am aware of the DSO/XML utility, but have been unsuccessful in using
it--consumes all available memory on my PC (1Gig of RAM).

Thanks,
Nate Shedd

Sorry. There is no workaround. Once the cube has been created it is bound to
that data source.
You can change where that data source is connected to, i.e. point it to a
different server and a different database, but you can't change the name nor
what data source it is using.

BTW: DSO/XML isn't really changing it either. It is just re-creating it :-)
