Default Ye olde 0x80041010 error - 01-22-2008 , 08:06 PM

We recently upgraded our failover cluster to 2005. Currently when someone
connects with SSMS and opens object explorer, the error

Event filter with query "select * from __InstanceModificationEvent within 10
where TargetInstance isa 'Win32_Service'" could not be (re)activated in
namespace "//./root/Microsoft/SqlServer/ComputerManagement" because of error
0x80041010. Events may not be delivered through this filter until the problem
is corrected.

occurs. Everything I've researched had people saying wait for SP2. Well
during our upgrade we upgraded to SP2 like a good little boy should, but the
issue persists. We are currently running SQL Enterprise version
9.00.3042.00.

Thanks in advance,
O.

We have the same problem.

We have recently built a 2 instance dual node cluster SQL 2005.
We have used Windows 2003 EE SP2 and SQL 2005 EE SP2.

I get the same error when someone connects with SSMS and open the object
explorer. We did a clean install towards SP2, so you can rule out that
something went wrong in the update process.
