support the SCSI-3 command set, which eliminates parallel SCSI. Up until
Windows 2008, clustering relied on the SCSI-2 command set which was not
always interpreted correctly down the storage access stack, hence the need
for the "Windows Catalog for Clustering" or the HCL.. Only systems that
responded correctly to the old command set were supported. Now, if the
storage device understands the more advanced command set, it is considered
supported. This means iSCSI and asymmetrical clustering is now OK.
