Default Win2k sp4 and post sp4 updates - 05-03-2004 , 12:36 PM

Hello
I need to update a clustered win2k os. The service pack applied on this clustered server was sp3 a
server build time. I've applied the SLQ sp3 and security roll up with no problems. However, I'm a bit nervou
and not sure the order in wich to apply the windows updates. Do I apply the updates on the passive node first
Should I stop the SQL server service on the passive node, then roll the server to the updated node and appl
the windows os updates to the current active node. Thanks in advance for your help.

Your steps almost sound perfect. I would add a test in a non-production
environment step. Other then that, good job.

Cheers,

Rod
