Default Win2003 Cluster and 'verify' cmd from SQL - 02-08-2005 , 10:29 AM

Verifies of my backup jobs are repeatedly failing from "Cannot Open Device"
errors on my new Win2003 cluster when run from the maintenance plan job.
When I try the path, it is valid and I can run the verify statement manually
for the file and it completes successfully. Has anyone encountered this
problem before?

Make sure SQL Server Agent is running as a domain account that has access to
the device.

I have the same issue and couldn't find why. I disabled the verify option in
the maintenance plan and the backup is ok.

Both SQL and Agent services running under domain account with Admin rights
to Windows and SQL.

Same here, the Agent is fine and running under a domain account, or else the
backup job wouldn't run at all. I have a sample verify proc you can insert
in a step after the Maint. plan runs if you're interested.
