I was asked to look for clustering SQL to increase availability. I saw HP DL380 G5 storage server but was told that it was not optimized to run SQL on this unit. I just wanted to see you you can share your HP cluster server model for SQL and the spec if you have at work. It would be something at entry to mid level so the cost is afforable. We have 3 databases b/w 50 GB to 150 GB each; 2/3 of the data are images. The growth is about 30% each year. Thanks. We use 585's and 785's, they work. The most important consdieration will be shared storage, SAN or DAS. |
