Default what happens on DB Mirroring in "high availability operating mode - 01-08-2009 , 03:38 PM

Dear all,
I'm a "newbie" on SQL2005 mirroring and I need some help.
I'm going to set up a db mirroring with high availability, I mean with
principal-mirror-witness scenario.

I know that if the principal goes down, the mirror automatically take its
place. But at this point, is the DB in read only mode ?? Or is any
WRITE/modification allowed ??

Thanks in advance!
Luca

Good question.

The mirror automatically takes over all the functionality of the principal,
including read-write transaction processing during a failure event.

Everything keeps running.

That is the best way to learn about actual system behavior.
