Default URGENT--SQL2000 SP4 on WIN 2000K CLuster - 09-26-2009 , 11:54 AM

Hi All

I have an older machine which has SQL 2000 Sp3 running on a Windows 2000
Cluster.
I am going to apply SP4 tonite. My question is, I have done this many times
on Win2k3 Cluster , where you just run sp4 on virtual SQL and it picks up
automatically,
But someone recentrly told me that that is not the case with Win2k cluster,
and that i have to run the SQL SP4 on both the nodes, Is that correct. I
thought SQL sp4 applies only to virtual SQL and not to windows..

DO i need to run SQL 2k sp4 on both the nodes of WIN2k cluster, or just the
virtual SQL..

We are doing this tonite and all the help is much appreciated..

thanks
Nik

SQL 2000 cluster update methods are not different between Wndows 2000 and
Windows 2003
