Default Urgent: Processes very Slow on 64 Bit System - 05-03-2005 , 09:17 PM

Hi,
We have a processes which is completed in 3 hours on a machine with scsi
hard drives with data on RAID 5 with 4 hard drives and log on a mirrord
hard drives it have 2 GB of memory and dual processor.

Now we are running the same processes on a 64 bit cluster with two noedes
each have 12 GB memory and Quad processes. Nodes are connected with high
speed SAN with 6 hard drives mirrored (RAID 10 total 12 hard drives). Now
the same processes takes almost double the time. The process is using a lot
of cursors we are modifying them but right now the concern is why the new
servers with a lot more processing power and memory running extremly slow?

Please some body help

Regards,

Hi

Have you compared the disk i/o numbers, the cache statistics, recompilations
etc?

What is different between the 2 server's query plans?

Regards
